Wonderful Seniors Residence in Downtown Cobourg offers full caring services,
residents no longer need to do food shopping or prepare meals, many activities
are provided, and residents really enjoy participating and enjoy the ongoing action.
seniors are provided with a sate environment in a wonderful setting, and openly
strive to provide needed care and participation in varied activities and living in a
very caring atmosphere. Medical services are provided by highly trained
professionals on site and are referred to specialized care fi needed.
Residents are very impressed with the wonderful meals and often can have
some family join them when visiting and openly praise the attending staff. We
often hear from visitors how they are so impressed with stat and their happy
attitudes and this all adds to the happiness in Palisades.

Palisade Garden and the staff in the Harmony Wing, gave me my Mother back. At 92, she’s riddled with dementia and hadn’t smiled for months. The minute she arrived at Palisade, her personality changed, her smile came back and the sun came out. Riley, Mae and the rest of the staff are miracle workers and just plain, really good people.

“We greatly appreciate the kindness of your psw's and nursing staff for caring for mom.  I have met some of them during my visits, and I am truly grateful for how well they treat mom.

 

Today I had the opportunity to listen in when mom's morning meds were brought to her.  I am not sure which psw was on med duty this morning, but I would really love to know who she is.  She was amazing with mom even though in her 10 to 15 minute interaction with Olga, mom went through a range of emotions from nice and chatty to argumentative/combative to nasty.  Through all of this the psw was friendly and cheerful, calm and professional in her handling of the situation with mom.  She spoke in a manner not demeaning to mom, but with respect and compassion.  I think she even managed to get mom to take her meds.  She was excellent! 

 

Kudos to All the staff who are doing more than they signed up for.  Especially for those residents with dementia who are in limbo waiting for placement in LTC.  The staff are appreciated by us more than they know.  All of you are.  Thank you!”
